That was a GOOD vinyl recording, most such recording sound like poop due to bad players and poor skills on part of the recorder. If only ignorant people weren't allowed to put vinyl rips on YT.

Anyway, looks like The Algorithm is telling me to listen to THIS thing again:

Mostly The Unknown, from Chris Squire and Billy Sherwood. Their second album was released on HDCD, which allows you to store 24bit files on a CD through a clever compression method. Normal players will play the files as if they were 16bit, but what you should do instead is get a program that can extract the 24bit original.

R.E.M. very first album. I will never stop saying thanks to Ian Copeland for discovering this great band. I followed them on their IRS releases, lost them after that, but I still love listening to all their works.

I only hope you never bought any of the "remasters". REM's tapes were lost in a fire that claimed a lot of music in 2008, so the ""remasters"" are simply CD tracks compressed and bass boosted.

B-sides from China Crisis' first album. The remaster comes with a bonus CD (too bad the main album sounded better in the original release ):
