'New' stuff coming out in November

Well, not exactly 'new'... but anyway, there should be a Police-related stuff coming out in November. I don't have details yet.

Ummm....so maybe if it's not exactly "new", it's a new release of an old live show...? Hmmmm?

I'm guessing this is the jazz interpretation album announced today?

A double album of ALL (I'm serious this time, A L L) non-album tracks and Ghost in the Machine demos in good quality. Don't Give Up Your Daytime Job is a freaking perfect song.

Well, at least Truth Hits Everybody '83 will be available.

But no Fallout? No Sting demos? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Yeah, another repackaging of the same stuff. I guess it's all about the price point and size, it's an inexpensive and compact way to get physical copies of the studio catalog. Might appeal to newer/younger potential fans, but likely, those same fans have essentially forgone physical copies of music...if they've even bought physical releases in the first place! I can't see anyone over 40 who's a Police fan buying this thing just to get one or two b-sides they may not have already. Another potential great release again brings disappointment to their rapidly shrinking demographic.

I just don't know if you could call the number of Police appreciators "shrinking". Sure, they have not been #1 since the 80s, BUT still a crapload of people love them, and any release will sell.

I can tell that the 'outtakes' project is still 'alive', or at least, not abandoned or cancelled. Due to Sting's and The Police's releases (My Songs and The box set of The Police, as well as the reissues of the Police vinyls) I guess they felt like having too many things to issue at the same time.
I guess we should just be a little more patient and we will have those recordings in our hands one day or another.

As long as Fall Out/Nothing Achieving is included, I am all for it

Also, clear remaster of Truth Hits Everybody '83 (or was it '82?):

EDIT: I listened to the Henry-less b-sides reissued, and they were ACTUALLY remastered. Meaning they sound good and not merely compressed more. Not objectively superior to Message in a Box (have different tiny flaws of their own), but save to buy once the CD set of Every Move You Make comes out.

P.S. Derangements official CD when??
