One of our local radio stations, WDRV (“The Drive”) 97.1 FM (Chicago), does a “Ten at Ten” segment every evening at 10:00. They play ten songs from a particular year or artist. Last night was a Police special in honor of Stewart’s birthday. Between songs, there were little interview snippets from Stewart about life in Policeland. The host was local DJ Bob Stroud, who shared a nice story from when he worked at WMET, a popular radio station here back in the day. It was only his 4th or 5th week on the job and he was interviewing the boys during the Regatta tour. At the end of the interview, he gave them each a WMET T-shirt and he recalled how the following summer (1980), he was thrilled to see Stewart on the back of the Zenyatta album cover, sitting behind his drums wearing his WMET shirt!
