The inevitable Spyro remake, and music

The inevitable Spyro remake, and music

Postby ManWithGoodTaste on 14 Feb 2018 07:59

So, it is entirely unlikely that a remake on PS4 (and other systems maybe who knows but who cares) is not going to happen. But will the original music be used? Redone """improved""" versions? Will Stewart be brought back for bonus tracks?

Let's speculate, and prepare ourselves for disappointment.

I suspect this will be similar to when the sequel to Wall Street was made. Just not the same without STEWART.

I don't think he will be allowed to say anything IF he is contracted.

Also, Wall Street is no Spyro. The sequel was not a shot-for-shot remake, in addition to being set in a different era.

Speaking of Spyro, Stewart is working some Spyro riffs into a new orchestral piece in works to debut next year that will include some Spyro and other soundtrack scores he's composed over the years. I suspect with all the millenials who grew up playing the game and strong interest in arranging video game music into live symphonic pieces that there will be some sort of Spyro orchestral suite some day.

I enjoy reading every new interview with Stewart. Because he actually makes a lot of things up for each one, and even changes the backstory of past events to make it more entertaining. It takes 50 interviews and the man's entire library to really decipher his motivations for every project he did.

Well, now it is known that the music will be redone from scratch, however close or distant from the originals. Stewart will not be working on the games at all.

NEWS FLASH!

Stewart has been contacted to help with the Spyro remake! There is now an option to only have the original tracks, and The Man Himself even wrote a brand new track!

That is very good news, indeed! Guess it’s time to get a PS4.
