^ MY favourite guitar solo would be a toss between Writing on the Wall by Blackmore's Night (Ritchie) and Rainmaker by Andy Summers. Not because they are most technically stunning, but because of the choice of notes, the sound of the instrument, and the way the strings are plucked.
I am also a sucker for Strato and Telecaster (not sure what Andy used, but I guess that was it).
