GIZMO shows in Italy 2005 *** cough cough ***

Postby rhoeckel on 09 Oct 2017 11:50

Hi folks,

the new Gizmodrome album makes me really excited (not to forget the instrumentals EP).

In 2005 I had the privilege to join the "Italian team" for two shows in Italy:
July 6 in Portoferraio (on the beautiful island of Elba) and
July 8 in Rome

You can download my recordings of these shows here:
(info files are included)

Enjoy,
Rüdiger

Thank you very much for sharing these great great recordings !!!!
It seems like a glimpse of Gizmodrome's roots and it is very interesting.

In this interview Stewart mentions the famous "Hello Cleveland" moment at the start of the little Italian tour 2005 in Portoferraio...;-) (not Portofino!)

Well, I should have tons of videos f those days, as Eugenio and I filmed everything! One day I will open my vault and transfer everything into digital so that I can share all this stuff with you, something like at least 5 or 6 hours of footage, from backstage to rehearsals, from the press conference to the show, and aftershow.

Sure, that was for Computer Magazine, I just needed to put on words what Stewart told me, and the image gets darker minute by minute. Most of the other videos have a good quality image.

You are a true gentleman. Too Kool to Kalypso is a speshul song for me, I love it oh so much.

Love it enough to figure out whatever chords the guitar is playing is irrelevant, since the mood/key is dictated by the bassline.

Interesting....... in the last 2 days I had a dream that someone here shared a live set (very much like this one), with one of those tracks being a live performance of Ice Pick Love. I JUST remembered.

Crazy, huh?

Interesting... Does Everyone Stare, at 2:37 there is half a second of pure silence.

Those were the days of my minidisc recorder...probably a little gap on one of the discs.
That's why I changed to an Edirol some years later (and no disc changing anymore, of course).
