Where are you stashing your tickets for safe-keeping?

Postby DirtyMartini on 17 Mar 2007 22:51

In another thread Hannah said this hilarious bit about receiving her Police tickets:
the anxiety of having them in my possession might do me in once and for all! I'd be constantly worrying about the house burning down or the cat vomitting on them or the roof blowing off my house taking the tickets with it.
Especially funny since I have very similar fears of ticket destruction!

So where are you folks keeping (or plan to keep) your tickets for fear of loss, damage, natural disaster, or cat vomit?

Right now mine are living on a bookshelf, tucked between The Riverside Shakespeare and Monty Python's The Meaning of Life in an envelope labeled "Stewart fucking Copeland."

None yet, but I remember freaking out on the phone with my girlfriend in 1983 looking for my July 23rd Comiskey Park Police tickets. She said, "Did you look under the bed?" I said, "Of course I looked under the bed!" They were under the bed.

Mine are pinned to our calendar. Turns out we've had them for a while now, but no one told me. Seems they thought if I knew they'd arive, I would louse them. I am a little afraid that if I touch them, they'll disapear.

Seriously, mine are in a big envelope in the special cabinet where I keep stuff I don't want to lose. I'm pretty right brain and totally lost a pair of George Jones tickets one time. I may have thrown them away, honestly...

Cat vomit is a distinct possibilty . Right now they're wedged between my printer and some DVDs. I guess I ought to put them in my bureau drawer with my jewelry. Geeees, they only cost me a butt-load of money. And 4 months is more than enough time to get lost forever!

Such worries are gone if you use e-tickets. Google's got one copy, and there is another on my desktop. House burning down is no match for that.

Yeah, but some slob might counterfeit up a copy of your ticket and beat you in the door. Such is my worry, anyway.

I hear y'all on the cat vomit. I have four of the adorable little monsters. Don't get me started.

You *don't* have a tube sock and short-short drawer??? Egads, woman! Where are your priorities?
