Apparently STEWART will be making an appearance on WGN (the Chicago station with some national play) sometime this week. No details other than my friend thinks it will be on Monday, February 13, 2017. If anyone catches this, let us know.

Good night! My first opera as an audience member and a world premiere, no less! Great story, great performers, great orchestra. Opera is hard! There's so much stuff competing for your attention: The story, the singing, the orchestra, the sets, the lighting, the deep philosophical stuff at the heart of it all. I'm beat, but very happy!

Too bad we didn't run into each other, zilboy. I was there last night too along with a few others. It was such a great performance with great music!

We were spread out since we couldn't all get seats together. I was in B22, second row left side. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house because it it is an intimate venue.

That was more than a nice review in the Chicago Tribune, a major newspaper in the United States. (For those who may not know.)

They gave it four stars.

Here's a part:

With this, his fifth opera, Copeland — co-founder and drummer of the defunct British rock band the Police — has come of age as a composer of music theater works.

Congratulations to Stewart.

Sadly, some publications will never give a good opera/orchestra review to the drummer from the Police.

Yes, unfortunately there are a few snobs out there still stuck in the eighteenth century (sigh).

In this interview there's an extended portion of Stewart's composition. Not because I'm a Stewart partisan but it's very beautiful.

I wish I could see and hear it in person.

I wonder if it will be available on iTunes.

Okay, that made my day.
