Anyone pledged for the SC Drumset master class?

Anyone pledged for the SC Drumset master class?

Postby roddswett on 09 Oct 2013 20:05

I did!
Already saving up for my trip from Santiago to LA May 2014. Man, I have no chops –I am just a dedicated yet amateur tribute band kind of drummer- so I better start practicing. Or maybe just sat down like an ass and watch/listen to Stewart doing his. (Unless it's a University-of-Chicago-Socratic-method-in-steroids kind of class that I will be call up to perform extremely difficult material or bring out smart remarks in front of the class). Anyway, just been there would certainly make my day. Or year.
Now, back to negotiations with wife and kids (maybe a trip to Victoria Secret, American Girl and Toys r’ us will do) to get all the permits clear.

rodd - WOW! So glad to hear a nutter bid on and got one of the master classes - that's great!

I'm sure a lot of us will be waiting to hear back on your experience, what a great opportunity.

Well, it looks like I missed the boat:(
I was all ready to pledge, but then had a sudden passing of a relative which consumed my world for about a week. Had to leave town for a few days & missed the deadline. This would have been unreal.
There's one spot left, & I emailed Mr. Bryant about possibly still being able to pledge & get into the Master class even though it's closed. It's a long shot, but I had to try. Sometimes life (& death) happens, & things go sideways beyond our control.

Congrats to Rodrigo though! This is his dream come true, & I'm happy for him.

You never know, Rod, by some miracle maybe I'll be there with ya!

Bang on!

Thanks LT. It's the inevitable part of life that everyone hates. Especially when it's sudden.

But on a more positive note, there may be light at the end of the tunnel with regards to the Master class....

Tamadude, very sorry to hear of the personal loss, and I do hope that you are able to work something out with the Master Class! Will keep my fingers crossed for you.
