OT: Adam Ant! Coming to Cincinnati Area in August!

Ok, Adam Ant is swinging through the tri-state area to play at the Madison Theatre in Covington KY (right across Ohio River from Cincinnati) on 24 August. I have my old Adam-as-The-Dandy-Highwayman t-shirt washed and ready to wear!
This is the same venue I got to see The Psychadelic Furs in the winter before beginning of Tourzilla, great place where you can get right up near the stage and see it all.
Now, if i can find just the right pair of black & white striped leggings, geometric earrings, and some combat boots......

Hey, I wasn't disappointed by either Psychadelic Furs shows I caught here in past 5 years, and to some degree, if Adam still makes danceable music that will be fine. I will go with best hopes for a good show, face paint or no!

Looking forward to seeing him in DC in a few weeks. The show I saw last fall in Virginia was fantastic (hah, see avatar I'm still using).

I agree with Dietmar on the new cd, however. I really like maybe 3 songs on it, but the rest...? Er, not so much at all, which was a bit disappointing.

There are acts which seem to always be best live. The Ant CD "wonderful" from 10+ yrs ago was like that too, but still enjoyed hearing him send it on TV back then.
Not every band/singer/act can be as Blessed as Our Boys, The Police, to be so thoroughly great, either on record or on stage!
It should be good evening, nonetheless.

There's a good chance I'll have to miss the Adam Ant show; my own band is playing a park gig in Burlington KY on the 24th. If it wraps up soon enough I might be able to make it, but who knows? If I decide to take my old Tama Superstars out instead of the band's Ludwigs then I'll have to run home afterwards, etc, etc.

Hey which park? If I am sufficiently recuperated, I may be able to run over & catch a part of y'all's show-no promise, am atill 'whipped' enough right now to debate even to seeing AdamHimself-must be really getting old!

Suzanne, we are playing Boone Woods behind the YMCA off KY 18 in Burlington, 7 to 8:30. The name of my rocking band is Florence Community Band...yep, we're a bunch of trumpets, horns, saxes, etc, just like high school. On the program for Saturday: The Beatles Remembered, The Jersey Boys Medley, and Lady Gaga Dance Mix, lol.
