Nervous energy = Great music

Nervous energy = Great music

More than 60 dates scheduled so far. By the time that 60th show rolls around, these guys are going to be playing better together than they ever have (25 years improved as musicians.)

That's going to be great, but it makes me very curious to hear the first show as well.

For all the improvements seen by the last few shows, the first one is going to have a nervous energy that should give it a real edge-of-your-seat quality.

May 28th someone will have a cell phone from this board and be contacting us with set list updates throughout the whole show and then for the second show, third show, etc...

We are going to have a blast.

I can't believe the first date is only about 10 weeks away now... it's sneaking up fast. I can't wait to be on this board that night - well it will be morning for me actually - I hope someone gets on here with a full and detailed report of setlists and between-song banter.

And I won't be here-- I don't want to know the set list in advance. The songs they practiced already is too much information.

You know, I've seen U2 in concert on their first night. I don't think I'll ever do that again. If I go, it'll be more about catching up with old friends and not the show. I mean the guys were nervous and you could tell. My hubby went to the opening night of King's X and he said it wasn't their best. But both of us know and understand there will be butterflies on the first night and technical problems. I'm just glad I'll see The Police at the end of June after they've had a few shows under their belt.

Now if an opening night ever fell on Dallas [like that will ever happen] then I'll go.
Seeing The Police live for the very first time - priceless!

The only opening show I'd ever been to was the Clapton one a few weeks ago. And there was a fire in the grate, so we were stuck outside for a while.... even after the show should have started. At least only the first guy's stuff was cut.... but he was really good, I would have loved to hear more of his. Oh and Derek Trucks when Clapton eventually retires, he could step up and take his place.

Well I'm going to record the show on my cell, it will sound like crap... but still at least I'll have it. Is anyone else going to record?

Think we have anychance of them putting up the shows at TPT.com? Probably not, they might want to sell it one day... not that they're not already making tons of money. Ok so I'm whining, shoot me.

For the paying members i could easily see them upping a few performances. Probably just single songs, not entire sets. Just my guess...

Well, to quote myself (used with permission) from a previous thread about live downloads:

>>In a few short months, this site is surely going to fill with "anyone have a bootleg of last night's show?" threads.

And we'll all be pretending that cell phone videos are really awesome.<<

And don't get me wrong; I'd check out your cell phone video for sure, even though it would look like crud and sound not even as good as crud.

Let's just hope that's not our only option.
