Free To A Good Home (just not Ebay)

I have a spanking new (still in the shrink wrap) CD/DVD copy of Sting: Live In Berlin. Moonstone gave it go me for Christmas and, alas, I have one. I've tried to give it away to various peeps on the SC.Net, but I've discovered just how wide that chasm is between Sting and the Nutters.

Any takers? And please, don't take advantage of me and just sell it on Ebay. It's a really good show and moonstone and I have visions of someone else loving the concert as much as we do.

I do consider it a very good show, and listening to Sting telling some more infos about most of the songs is definitely a plus. The whole orchestra did a great job and you can tell Sting voice is at a great level.

For a long time now I've much more enjoyed watching Sting DVD's rather than listening to the CD's. The Live in Berlin set that I bought for LT (She already had it) contains both but I never play the C.D.

Sting Is great at surrounding himself in fantastic vocalists and musicians which is apparent when you watch any of his DVD's. Somehow they fade into the background when just listening to CD's on their own. Anyone who didn't much like the Sacred Love album should watch the DVD and listen to Joy Rose singing backup vocals. She has a beautiful voice but I can't even hear her on the C.D. which is a shame because she was such an intrinsic part of the storytelling on this album.

I really hope that with his new album he will make a DVD to go with it.

Happy listening and watching Nick. It's a great show and so much better than the CD on it's own.

That is describes me for sure.

I tend to listen to CDs far more than watch music-related DVDs. I tend to buy the DVDs but then rarely watch them. But will watch this.

I love watching dvd's showing the making of an album; maybe 'cause I am a musician and producer myself, but I really like to listen to how the track evolved, what's behind the real meaning of the song, see which instruments were played and all the details about the recording.
I do suggest the dvd documentary of IF ON A WINTER'S NIGHT, with lots of images of Newcastle, its surroundings and the places where Sting grown up, linked to the concept of the album, as well as having an in-depth look at the instruments played and the musicians who took part of the recording of the album.
If you haven't watched the '...all this time' dvd live in Tuscany documentary...well, that's a must!
