Kompendium seems a very cool album, with an epic sound, rock, prog, celtic vibes...sounds great; I can spot Gavin Harrison in it, as well as BJ Cole and many other incredible players.
If you like that, you may like even my latest project www.youtube.com/piratequeensmusic (more folkish than prog-rock), listen to Anne Bonney as first track.

Anyone with any appreciation for drumming needs to listen to it at least once every two months.

What's that, a bootleg? Or is it by another band, not The Police? :)

David Bowie "Heroes" CD. Bowie and Fripp make for a great combination

At EQ's suggesiton, I recently listened to the Who's Live at Leeds for the first time in years.

Very impressive.

Ketih Moon was great, just great. He dominates the version of Happy Jack, a song I don't even like but have to appreciate here.

It would have been cool to hear STEWART play this arrangement.

For me, I am listening to STEWART and Stanley in Tollhaus. This is what I had expected when I first heard about Animal Logic. I think this is why I found AL's first CD disappointing (initially) and then when I knew what to expect from AL, this is probably why I like the second CD better. But coming back to AL after all these years, the first CD (Dog CD) has some really good drumming on. Damn fucking good. Its a shame there was no new Police material from this period to showcase STEWART at such a highpoint in his abilities.

. . . Like Clockwork by Queens of the Stone Age. Grohl on drums for half of the album, which also has QOTSA's prior drummer as well their new drummer, who used to be the drummer for The Mars Volta (not Thomas Pridgen). Waiting for it to grow on me. Maybe I've not been in the right mood while listening to it.
