More evidence that it is a southern thing. I grew up in the midwest and last called my father "daddy" as a very small boy. Never thought of calling him daddy after that.


My 8-year-old called me Dad until he turned 3, then switched to Daddy. Refuses to call me Dad. 22-month-old calls me Daddo, which I really dig 8)
