Is it me, or has José completely disappeared from this Forum after this post? If that is the case that would be unfortunate because he seems to be genuinely a good guy. Hope this whole thing gets sorted, since I don't see any real foul play on either side. Seems like a "cultural" misunderstanding to me.

Copyright infringement is not a cultural misunderstanding. Everyone has been welcome to join in and comment here. Given some of the current issues going on, on Facebook with Lynn Goldsmith asking certain people (cough) to stop stealing her photos and putting their OWN copyright on them? And refusing to remove those photos when she asks them to? I have to wonder about the motivation of reviving this thread in the last couple of days if not related to those incidents.

Well let's start here, if Lynn's comment doesn't get deleted as mine did in this community a few days ago, about her photos are having someone else's copyright put on them after she's now twice asked to have her photos removed from this Facebook community:

Sockii, the only "motivation" of my post was noticing that one of the most prominent members of this community has disappeared. I've never met him, he is not my friend, so I am not here defending him or so. Neither am I saying that Dietmar and you don't have a point. But the last thing I expected was to get your feisty response. I am not taking sides here, but I still think this whole thing was unintentional and still think that the whole thing got out of proportion. That's just my opinion. You disagree, cool. Free country. But there is no motivation, here. Just peace, if you will. And by your reaction and me also being a South American (although I live in America) maybe, yes, at least in our exchange, there was a cultural misreading. And maybe that's why communication was interrupted between you guys. Or maybe not...just gonna watch me some Grammy's...peace...

Lots of people have disappeared from the boards. A cultural misunderstanding ....no it's not that. For someone to disrespect Lynn Goldsmithwork by slapping a copied quote and then putting his own copyright symbol on her picture. I really don't know how you can rationalize such behavior Jose!
