And then kicking right into "Synchronicity I" or "Message in the Bottle"

I think I remember Stewart saying that starting with "Synch I" every night just about killed him.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Less is more baby!

I still can't believe I'm going to see THE POLICE. 3 times! Holy crap!

They showed a clip of them at the Hall of Fame ceremony from when they were inducted. I almost cried. I hope I'm not going to be a complete wreck at the shows, lol.
yo!!

Perhaps they could borrow a lemon?

Yes! I was thinking the exact same thing! But in Police's case, it would be a Mirror Ball Police Car.

:P
Seeing The Police live for the very first time - priceless!

True, I recall when I saw them in 83 that they went right into "walking in your foot steps" so he could rest afterword.

But it sure did get the energy pumping for the rest of the show.

It sucks- from a drummer's standpoint starting a show in a flat out race hurts. It'll always takes a good 20mins till you get truly warmed up and in a good groove for the night.

I'm with Bongo Boy on this one- who friggin cares?!?!?! They could play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to start out with and I'd be crying!! :D

After all these years...

WE'RE GOING TO SEE THE POLICE!!!!

I thought I'd cry like a baby at the Whisky, but instead I found myself with a big stupid manic grin. Better start blowing bubble gum or something so I can get those cheek muscles in shape for the summer...;)

Something's occurred to me regarding my initial post. They can't exit the stage the same way they made their entrance. And besides, the mothership should be saved for the grand finale anyway. So, for their grand entrance they should be wearing...

JET PACKS!!

And y'all thought i was just kidding earlier....

(Being from the south, i feel incredibly self-conscious using the term "y'all", but now that Stewart himself has used it, the gloves are off!!)

I think they should enter wearing straight jackets, or be taken away in them, or at least Sting, since he did say "..I'd have to be certified insane...".

I am so stoked. A second generation Police fan, I never got the chance to see them live the first time around, and didn't think I ever would. This is better than a dream come true for me. Whatever they do, as long as they are together on stage, it's going to be friggin' awesome.

Heh, I'm glad others think they might be a bit teary...since I'll be going to some shows by myself at least I don't have to worry about sobbing next to people I know <grin>

As for y'all...I think it's perfect in several ways...all inclusive...not gender-marked like 'you guys'...a handy lil contraction that rolls of the tongue...I'm a fan of y'all :D
