Reference to SC & Sting in Extras

I'm sure you've all checked out this hilarious scene from the Ricky Gervais series, Extras. Stewart and Sting are mentioned. It's oh-so-British and very funny.

I know it's very old. However, I've never seen a discussion about it here. Nor have a I ever heard of Stewart's or Sting's reaction. Stewart seems to have a great sense of humor so I'm sure he thought it was "brilliant," as the British might say.

What do you guys think?

BTW, the reason I remembered this Extras video is because of what happened with the Bruce Springsteen concert in London when he was singing with Paul McCartney and the council pulled the plug because they were past curfew.

Actually, we had quite a lively discussion about this bit some years back. It's good fun! I recall that most of us non-British folks didn't know what a skip was, and we were pretty confused. But after being educated that a skip is a dumpster, things made a whole lot more sense. I'm not very good at excavating old threads. Perhaps one of our resident thread archeologists (*cough* EQ* cough*) could it dig up for us.
