Police stickers don't stick after 30 years!

Police stickers don't stick after 30 years!

Postby kmart on 18 Jun 2012 21:40

I painted my garage and decided to display my collection of Police sticker on my cabinet doors....

Beware fellow Police Fans!!!! After 30 years your Police stickers lose thier adhesive qualities! If you plan on using them add some glue!

My stickers...don't....

Then I reallized...I should have taped them in the first place so I could move them...Oh well....Momma never claimed I was the smart one of the family

But that got me thinking...."Support the Police" was kinda the official bumper sticker for Regatta De Blanc
Zenyatta, Ghost and Sychronicity all had bumper stickers that were easily recognizable...

Was there a sticker issued for Outlandos? I've never seen one.

the SUPPORT THE POLICE bumper sticker IS an Outlandos sticker - it was already used in March 1979.

I bought a "Support The Police" sticker for my bass drum off of ebay a few months ago; it never showed up. The seller gave me a refund and we joked that the sticker might possibly be attached to the rear bumper of a postal van somewhere, lol.

kmart, I know where you can get 3 stickers real cheap--ha! Seriously, if you need them back... Glad to see you here and that you've got a project at home (and the time at home to have a project).

LT,

No, I don't need them back.... I have multiples of all my stickers!

But it just goes to show how nice you are to offer!

I've been watching alot of my Police videos lately....Still can't believe how great they were in concert.

Uh, I love stickers! The 'Support' was probably one of the first I could get my hands on; when I first visited Outlandos in London, I could get the GHOST sticker, a simple cover of the album, big like a 7" just to give you an idea.
I love all this stuff...

Ladyhawke,

I just bought some Klark Kent magnets off ebay! They are 2 to a set (one of the cover of "Kollection" the other the cover of the album "Klark Kent". They were pricey (7.50 for two) but being Stewart Copeland related I had to buy them.

I also see magnets of the Police album covers. Next time I see them I will let you know.

I recently received a THIRD version of the SUPPORT THE COPS bumper sticker with the Outlandos heads.
http://www.policefans.org/Police_wiki/i ... r_Stickers
this one has no A&M logo and a different size
there's another SUPPORT THE COPS sticker from Italy added to that page, but that one features the Reggatta heads...

Dietmar I noticed the 7 eleven sticker on the page ... I have one, it is indeed a sticker it was at the bottom of the cups you fill at the store, you had to pop it off from under the cup (the reason for the cardboard). I remember going to 7 eleven many many times trying to get this sticker I kept on getting Duran Duran! finally my friend got it! I had to trade my David Bowie sicker and nameless other things to get this!
