It seems to be search hijack used a another searcher and it did not happen.
Google and bing search is affected and going to try some others searchers.

Jan, if I recall you have a new computer. Can you do System Restore, under Tools or System. Go back to before the most recent update or install. Listen to me, like I know what I'm talking about, but this happened to me once, and System Restore fixed it. Also look under Programs to see if there is a recent, and unauthorized, program now on your computer. You could try to uninstall that if you find it.
This can be fixed.

Are you running a Mac or a PC? Did you recently install a "free" program?

Tried system restore and did not work the strange thing is when doing a search and want to look at something i use the side arrows which show what you go to and use that instead have no issues then since i have been doing that try the other way by clicking on the search it has stopped redirecting....love computors also hate them and thinking of upgrading my internet browser too.....been doing research and they talk about host files but do you think i can find them on computor ha! no... a vista system and have no idea where to find things. Hopeless I know. concerned about using passwords though, will this bloody redirect scan my passwords when i use them? Have done scans and my anti-virus is always update and scans all the time and reconised no viruses

thanks, all advise is welcome, Jan.

Jan, I have Vista too and it's a pain. Check your Programs/Uninstall and see if you can find something odd, something with an install date around the time the problem began.

Love that but I would not know something odd if I tripped over it!!! Will look however I do have a new computer to do series stuff on but can still talk to u guys. Thanks you have been a great help.
I think it is something hiden in host files and one does have to know what they are doing so not going there. Just hoping it is not screwing with passwords.

Not as yet i still having my search redirected but now use a less known browser and that works fine. I do have another computer for important stuff like buying things ;) if I write in site addresses i go there just if i click on a searched site i get redirected to some site promoting a site, another search site, and so on which is rather annoying I do believe a have a driver host corrupted that is why scanning does not work and i am not going into that.
