Sting will be busy all along 2013 but with the musical he is working at; I know that from the management.
By the way, the DODODO track was released as a 'secret' track on some copies of the DTS Police Very Best Of compilation, but was not listed as '86 version on the tracklist...you only got to be lucky to buy the one with the 'new' version.
Anyway, it was released only on that format (DTS 5.1)

It's already been detailed here as to where it exists commercially but following are some other details.
Most of the recording was created with Sting's Synclaviar (sampler-sequencer) plus his new vocals. It may have some live bass and guitars as well but I can't confirm without hearing it and I haven't listened to my copy in a while. De do do do and Don't Stand So Close To Me were scheduled to be worked on by the group; however, days before checking in to the studio, Stewart broke his clavicle in a Polo accident which resulted in the absence of any live drums on those tracks.

Gio, are you hearing anything else on timing of Sting's musical? It seems it's getting late in the year for it to be produced this year. Especially if they want to get it on Broadway, the time to debut is before the holidays to capture all the November-January tourism. But I don't even know if they're aiming for NY or London, or somewhere else. Any other details you can share would be appreciated!

That's this compilation I was talking about. Anyway, the song is circulating on the Internet since it came out, and it's not too difficult to find it. Maybe one day we'll get the chance to see it 'officially released', but that's another story…
