Ghost in the money making machine

Hi,

i must say STING is not honest.....
The reunion idear was a great way to make more money....nothing more....
His fire for writing new songs is out....no new album since 2003.....strange projects as the lute and orchester thing.....but nothing new.....

And in interviews he say he won´t play the old POLICE songs again and again.....but people we are not blind....what is he playing all the time with the broken music shit and the other so called greatest hit tours.....more police songs then ever.....sorry but i can not believe sting in any way.....he is a lieér in my prospect of view.....

And now a new The Police DVD.....only for the money....sorry but we got those concerts in our collecting box.....Don Kirshner Show....why not another reunion show from 2008....? Or the documentary of the police produced by GERD.....what is happen with that project ? Can anybody answere me that question =? I think Sting has stoppped him while it was to good produced....so much nice interviews from nigel gray and hugh padham....sorry but this is what we want......record companys of the world.....

Some rumours talk about another secret The Police Project in 2013.....but i think this is pure shit....that the people buy the other presents from the AM Machinery....

There was a chance to do a new album with the police but stings EGO was to great to try it.....sorry folks but i can not listen to those shows who sting is trying to sound like the police .....he can not do it without the two other amazing souls...and thats a fact.....

It would be cool to read statements.....!!!!!!!!
There is only one best DRUMMER of da World: MR.STEWART COPELAND !!!!!

Well, you can't force a guy to write songs if he don't want to. Without Sting, there is no Police. If he don't want to play, then nothing happens. End of story.

IMHO Sting lost his inspiration a long time ago.... I am not a Sting basher and very open to all types of music ( even ambiance music) but Stings fire is out. I listened to almost all his solo albums and very few singles made it to my Ipod.... I understand his wish to change musical directions ( just listen to the Regatta album and then to Synchro..superb albums but so different..one raw power and the other so complex ) but as Elton John said in a documentary about his “Classic period' .."the inspiration I had then is gone forever"
As for a 2013 project... I do not believe it . at best, its a Sting gimmick to try to get the spotlight on him.
This being said I will never underestimate Stings musical talent as a writer. Just listening to some of his more complex songs such as synchronicity one show that he is a genius.

i guess it's like when your parents split up... you want them to be together but understand totally their reasons and desire not to be together.

it is odd when your dad starts going out with women who like your mum, tho.

i do wish they'd let us see the holiday videos they made when together, if the simile isn't getting too stretched at this point.

smax...good analogy :)

bonty...so how do you know it was Sting's decision and Sting's decision alone to make or not make a new album? Let's not "blame" Sting for things we don't have evidence to, and plenty of us fans were never sure a new album would have been a great thing at this point anyway...

I may not be a huge fan of a lot of the things Sting's done with his solo career, but I do give him credit for exploring things he apparently feels passionate about and interested in, whether they may be commercial/successful or not, like the lute album and such. Plenty of people could mock Stewart too for doing opera and ballet, right? Sting's pop sensibilities don't really mesh with my own, and even listening back recently on some of the reunion tour recordings with fresh ears there were things I really didn't like with how some of those songs were very "Stingified" at this point - but, I'd put up with it for hearing then all together again.

And although I'm not normally a musical fan, I am very curious to hear what's going to come of the musical he's been working on for some time, The Last Ship. I happen to be friends with an actor in New York who was asked to do a workshop/reading of it recently, and he had nothing but absolute praise for what it was like to work with Sting - how intense he was about the project and gracious to everyone, and how wonderful the music was.

If they wanted, they could put out a CD of unreleased studio jams, unfinished songs, drum tuning, Sting vocal warmups, and guitar pedal adjustments and it would probably go gold in a week.

...plus throw in the aborted studio tracks from '86, including DSSCTM '86 with Sting's Synclavier drum tracks vs. Stewart's Fairlight or whatever (I'm not sure who won that battle.)

Honestly, just imagine how extremely successful a decent recording of new Police material would be. They'd be kings all over again.
