that event was in liverpool last weekend (?) to celebrate the anniversary of the titannic.

massive puppets (30 foot high) acting out a story of a girl who wrote to her dad on the ship but he never got the letter cos the ship sank. then her deep sea diving uncle returns the letter to her.

it looked amazing.

So it does!

These giant puppets were awesome. I kept watching them on the news throughout the day.
They even had moving eyes and turned their heads from side to side as though looking down at the crowds. Slightly eerie but incredible to watch.

A little over two years ago, atop Mt. Charles Stewart near Canmore Alberta, young Jim Henderson was married to our eldest daughter, Deanna. He passed away four days later.

Oh, Chris. Your family has been through so much these past few years. Thank you for sharing this, and please thank Deanna for sharing her and Jimmy's story and for reminding us all to put things into the proper perspective. As others have already said, inspiring, brave, and beautiful. Thank you.

At the risk of depressing everyone here, I was very hesitant to post about this.
Thank you so much for the kind words, I'll pass them on to her.

As you can imagine, like any passing Christmas or birthday, these last couple of weeks are further punctuated by all those what-could-have-beens. Deanna aptly calls this time of year "gauntlet week".

I'm happy to say that when we spoke by phone the other day we shared a laugh or two.
Dee sent me this link...in honour of Jimmy's scottish heritage...
(and that he was a computer programer that also had a Mac)

This link made me laugh so much Rusty James. A few weeks ago I was at the funeral of a Scottish friend and I never could understand a word he spoke except for when he said the F word. Somehow the F word overcomes all language and dialect barriers.
