Just finished Fever of the bone by Val McDermid. I do like a bit of murder mystery.
Also every now and then dipping into The 2nd book of General Ignorance by John Lloyd and John Mitchinson. Introduced by Stephen Fry. Someone gave me this for Christmas.
It's one of those daft general knowledge books that tells you things like Octopuses really only have 2 legs (the rest are arms) and Napoleon wasn't really a short arse, and asks things like "who invented the cat flap?" and "How do you milk a yak?"
I expect it'll be useful at the next pub quizz
