Grease 2? That's going outside the box. Refreshing to see something like that than the standard pat answers (Godfather, etc).

I like too many movies to give just 5. And its too much like comparing apples to oranges at times. Here's my off the cuff stab and some of the favorites:

Adaptation
Oldboy
Ikiru
Crimes and Misdemeanors
Tron
Lost in Translation
Before Sunrise/Before Sunset (brilliant individually; monumental when watched together)
Empire Strikes Back

Yep, those 9 are certainly in my top 5. And I think are are certainly a few more that belong in my top 5 as well.

No way I can get down to 5... mostly because I really love a lot of movies (Deep Blue Sea, Independence Day) that are so horribly bad they're awesome... then there's Bad Santa...
