Edit, for the kids: Posted the above before I watched the Brazil vid - Jesus, my jaw just hit the floor. Amazing, amazing stuff! These people know from rhythm down there.

Thank you, Stewart. That was just what I needed after a less than stellar day.
Very nice stuff going on at the Sacred Grove. I knew once you broke out the gloves that you weren't fooling. Was that a cuartro that Stanley was playing? I remember those from my Caribbean days.
And the Taranta video was great too. Tenor sheep! Fantastico!
And here comes my usual plea....We want Taranta in Toronto. You know it sounds so alliteratively awesome that it would be spectacular. Come on. We know you want ta Taranta in Toronto. (Failing that, we'll happily take some gamelan instead.)

I was only able to watch a little of the video with Stanley at work earlier (while pretending to actually work). Now that I'm home and have watched both videos, I can say that I especially love the sax and the singing in the Sacred Grove, and the entire Taranta video is fantastic. More, please!
