i think its obvious to everyone that @@@@@@ and ******** are both stewart. which kind of sucks cause i snapped at **** :( i will never get my drum lesson from the Maestro...

At least that's where i would put my money....

edit:
just realized maybe not so nice to single out folk if not the case. sorry, sort of a strange compliment, actually, but maybe poor netiquette....

It's always good to gain a different perspective from new members, not only here at sc.net but also life in general; that's how we learn, how we evolve and become more accepting of others. For the most part, our community is a cool, fun, entertaining and informative place to be. I'm a drummer first and foremost and a Copeland/Police fan for decades so I pay particular attention to drum/Police related threads. I may not read or comment on every topic, I don't read threads about Stewart's package, his ass, Sting's ass or shoes or handbags but then that's my choice. I'm not offended by full frontal nudity or foul language, I am a red blooded male after all. You gotta get up pretty damned early in the morning to put a muzzle on this junk yard dog.

As one of those cranky old (born in the 60's) dinosaur types, I still try to maintain a sense of humour and not take things too seriously, life is too short, man. It's one thing to be cranky, and quite another to be a cantankerous douche and the bag it came in. Those completely lacking any degree of decorum will more often than not, find their threads plummeting to the bottom of the page with no response. One has anonymity behind a username and avatar, when that is used as an outlet to antagonize others, it only makes them look completely cowardly and feeble. Fortunately those ones are few and far between here.

Jemma, your enthusiasm is certainly welcome here. Don't let the ass clowns get you down and keep on posting.

Yeah! I'm a red blooded girly girl, mini skirts and mary janes...and a Leo! Like the Stones song says..."...if you start me up I'll never stop, never stop...". I'm sorry to hear you don't like to read about Stewarts body, but that's ok. I never read about drums. My parents got me a guitar when I was 8 and tried to get me to master it. Didn't take. I was too busy roller skating and beginning to wear tube tops! Thanks for the compliments and encouragement. That Copeland guy is too cute not to comment on. I must have an abnormally high s*x drive.
Well, I think I'll go cook up that filet mignon now...

Went to Vancouver this fall and loooooved it. Am officially jealous of those of you who live there and/or get to visit a lot. I'll definitely be back.

Sock, we can tell 'em all day long, but they won't believe us till it happens to them. ;)

See if you can find your own thread, but here's mine from the first day I met you. And Conroy. And Stewart.

Hey Jemma! I just want to clarify one thing. You said somewhere in this thread that you gather a lot of the people who have met Stewart are personal friends of his. With the exception of a very few (St. Jeff, his drum tech and near lifelong collaborator, springs to mind), we are not personal friends of Stewart but simply fans who have had the good fortune to meet him at some sort of meet and greet associated with a performance of some kind. However, unlike most artists in such a situation, Stewart does more than sign an autograph and push you along. He takes the time to talk, especially if he is made aware that you are a member of this forum. At performances it has become a ritual of his to point at us in the audience if he knows we are there. We usually warn him that we are attending via this site. A lot of us he doesn't know by the sight of us, myself included. So, he often just gives a general point out to the audience. Wearing green to a performance is a kind of code signal to Stewart that you're a Nutter. I bet many unsuspecting green clad concert goers have been pointed at by Stewart and didn't know why he was pointing at them.
In fact, I'm certain of it since that is how I ended up here on this forum. At the Police reunion gig in Toronto, I was sitting behind a large group of Nutters who were carrying the infamous flag of Copelandia. I was oblivious to them and the flag but not to the fact that Stewart seemed to be pointing at me and smiling throughout the show. After the concert I did a little google search to try, I thought likely in vain, to figure out what Stewart's problem was with all the pointing. It led me to this site, and it all pieced together after a while. I have become friends with a lot of the people who were at that concert even though I didn't really notice them at the gig.
So, go out for a beer with Stewart? Nope. I've never done that. But I've gone out lots of times with a group of people Stewart thought I was a part of, and thanks to that mistake I did become a part of.
Thanks again, Stewart. And thanks Jemma for giving us dinosaurs a reason to look back and realize how fortunate we are to have these friends/freinds.

Ciao Jemma.

>It doesn't mean he reads everyones posts.
Well...he does more than that, trust me.
The sense of gratitude from Stewart is amazing; it's not about friendship (Sting calls me friend for example, but I have to say there should be some more to be considered friend, even if he insists...), but what I created is a simple link between the fans and Stewart. I built a sort of a brigde, it works, fans love it, Stewart likes it a lot. He knows most of the nicknames and every now and then there is a chance for fans to meet him personally (a concert, a showcase, a ... whatever he's up to anywhere in the world).

By the way, I've seen you sent a couple of private e-mails to my address; I'll get back to you shortly.

Hey gang...is everything all right my friends?
