VIP Tickets

OK, £350 per ticket which includes a host of extras: 3 course meal, pre and post concert get together, merchandise, memorabilia, all that stuff.

Worth it, or not?

Can someone give me some sound advice? I'm 37, I should know, but it isn't the case.

I was looking at that (only dreaming - can't afford £350) and I think if there was a group of you it would be really good fun. Also, they are guaranteed to be tickets in the front 20 rows or something which CAN'T be bad.

I think maybe you should go for it Wombat, unless you already have good tickets. But what the hell do I know? I'm only 34 ;)

I've already got really really good tickets. But you can buy the VIP thingy without the tickets. So that knocks it down to £270 something or other.

I'm just not sure if the drinks/meal thing is really worth it.

Any ideas anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

If you go with the VIP pre- and post- drinks/meal/party things you won't be able to meet up with any other forum people beforehand. You might be glad to avoid that of course. Just a consideration.

Who's doing the cooking ? For £270 it might be Stewart russling up some beans on toast.

Well, with all that cash added to the mix, you'll generally go into the whole thing a bit more critical than you might ordinarily.

I don't mean that you'll be critical of the performance, but maybe you don't think three kinds of cheese counts as VIP treatment, or even though they had shrimp puffs, you're allergic to shellfish. That sort of thing.

It certainly could all be better than you were expecting, but spend a lot of money on a ticket and you'll have a lot more riding on its success, which could make any disappointments that much more, you know, "pointy."

Wait a minute. Are you people in the UK telling me you can pay many
pounds for a chance to meet/eat with The Lads? 270 pounds is like $600!
I love The Police and everything but ????
Then again, Stewart on toast (forget the beans  )

Closer to 700 I think, but that may be saying more about the dollar being in the toilet than 'actual' price, heh :) I'm still cracking up about 'Stewart russling up beans on toast" LOL: the image, the image!

For that much we could only hope he'd handle the beans on toast better than he handled Fiona's angel hair.

hahaha, ya :) Now I can't help but remember a comment where Stewart was talking about the difference between being a composer and a rock star was that when he was in the Police he was the 'product,' he was the 'can of beans'.../grin

Congratulations, Stewart--you are now, once again, the can of beans and we adore you for it! :D

Ewps, back to the regularly scheduled program of discussing the VIP tickets!
