The Power of a rock band

The Power of a rock band

Hi folks.

It's not easy to discuss but I think it is uplifting. In 2006 my dear father a great person died. It was in spring and what followed was great sadness, he was my icon. I lost my job (but got a new one in a month) I only felt sadness and anger, anger is what prevailed when things became too sad.

When Sting said 'We're Back' at the grammys I had my first feelings of sheer happiness joy whatever you want to call it, in more than 10 months. My daughter beside me told me they're OK but I wouldn't cry over it, for a 10 year she got it. She knew what was going on.

The Police to me are what epitomized my youth their split was dissapointing but as a fan you just carry on. Now in my 40's their reunion was so spiritual and uplifting.

Thank you gentleman it's great news!

Hi, Trotta. I too lost a parent last spring (my mom), so I understand where you're coming from. After something so traumatic, little things really mean a lot.

Welcome, from one newbie to another.
