Have you guys every been to thepolicearchive.com? I have and have watched some of his stuff on ebay, and he has the most amazing stuff from tThe Police that I have ever seen.

Does anyone know who he is or how he got that amazing collection?

He looks young, too young to have such an amazing collection of memorabilia.

For instance...He has the "Im Leevin the Groop" t-shirt...no one but Sting, Andy and Stewart have that!

I talked with him through email once, and he seems really cool....just wondering how he came across his awesome collection.

I've known him since the Ask Uncle Ian Messageboard days. He's a legend in the fan community, right up there with Dietmar as far as I'm concerned. His acquisition of a pair of Stewart's tube socks story is my favorite piece of Police memorabilia history.

Craig is truly a legend. He used to occasionally post here, but he has made him self quite scarce recently. I can't remember why. Just don't bring up the picture in the bathroom.

(I kid. He looks much better than I could ever dream to look like).

Craig did write a book, which by all accounts sounded like it would be great.

Craig is a great guy and a cool friend of mine.
Always very very kind with other fans, always very open to share pics with everybody, showing what he got through the years.
Unfortunately his book won't be released for various reasons.
Anyway, he is a great fan, a great collector and worked with Universal people as a consultant concerning everything related to The Police; he could get his hands on many items thanks to his precious collaborations with the record company, as well as, like most of us, perserverance (yes, you are absolutely right) and searching for stuff all around the world, even way long before e-bay was invented.

I've been lurking for ages but not posted as I haven't had anything interesting to say! So please forgive me for radio silence!

Anyway - can I please ask a question Gio?

Craig did a load of work on a box set on rare recordings / outtakes etc as The Equalizer rightly points out - so do you have any idea of what came of that and is there any chance of it ever seeing the light of day?

Craig is the man. He was famous in the old Outlandos Club newsletters, along with our own Gio. I first ran into him on the AUI forum as well. I agree with Conroy - the post about his acquiring Stewart's socks after the Gateshead show was a classic, as well as Stewart's reply. Craig continues to collect anything and everything to do with the Police. I would ask him to marry me if I wasn't married already, lol.
