Finally got one!

Well yesterday, I finally got a Blue Bell Ride! It's used but I got a good deal on it. The thing is incredible - nice stick attack, dry, but it opens up nicely when you get her going, with a gorgeous crash. It's EXACTLY the same as the sample on the Paiste site - I don't know how they do it! And don't get me started on the bell.

I know Stewart would shoot me for saying this but this baby has a lot of Jazz in it! Now, all I need is another Fast Crash and a 602 Flat Ride and the Paiste setup will be complete.

Anyone out there who hasn't tried this cymbal should definitely check one out (if you can find one - shops don't seem to be stocking them - no clue why).

It really doesn't look any different from any other Blue Bell. And besides, can't take a pic because my son has loaded the camera memory card!

No, it's the Blue Bell that no one's stocking. My fave drum shop has a couple of the 602 Flats but it'll be a while before I can afford one.

I gave it a good 2 hour break-in last night. It's probably not suitable for my current band, but it's nice to have it just the same.
