The non-denominational winter holiday Nutter card exchange.

(Okay, so I stole that from some hokey holiday song.)

I hope you Nutters reading this and knew I was really talking about: the 2011 Nutter Christmas Card exchange.

For those of you who haven't done this before and would like to participate send your physical address and an e-mail address you'd like to use to: LTWoman20@aol.com . I compile the list and will e-mail it out the weekend after Thanksgiving. Last year we had 15 or so Nutters participating.

If you did this last year and haven't moved just shoot me an email or post your intentions here and I'll include you on this year's list.

Merry, Happy and YO HO HO!

Got you all covered.

Jan, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I hate to see you go! At least for the card part. Keep in touch and take care of yourself. I'm sorry to hear it's gotten that bad.

I'm having chronic computer problems these days. But, since the old girl (computer, not me!) is alive for the moment, let me say I'm in! Thanks for doing this, guys. It's always such fun.

Jan, all the best to you, my dear. I know a thing or two about joint pain as well. My thoughts are definitely with you.

LT,

Can you outline the rules for those of us that have never been in?

Are the cards Police related? made or bought?

Are there gifts? Do most people throw something in...I have a bunch of Police buttons, stickers, etc....

How many can you expect to be on the list? Do you send to all them?

Thanks,
Kmart

Ken,
It's kind of "all of the above" but yes, you send a card (or something) to all on the list. Last year it was 15 people.

Some of us Nutters are VERY creative and have made ornaments, made cards, used Police related themes in or on the cards, and with the envelopes too! And the rest of us, just send a simple card acknowledging that WE all are Nutters, YO, HO, HO and the rest.

Would anyone who has been here a little longer care to throw in any other history?

You in, kmart???

Kmart, Lauras explanation is a good one.
Some people put in little goodies, some Police related, some Christmas related and some people just send cards. There is definately no pressure to include a gift. The postage can get pretty expensive sending to England, USA, Japan, Australia, various parts of Europe etc so you may want to think about that when including gifts and choose something light.
One of the fun things about this is that as the cards come from all over the world there is always some confusion of when to post and therefore you often continue to receive things long after Christmas.I think I got something at the end of February last year.

Also my friends kids love all the beautiful stamps that come from all over the world.

Hope you join in. It's fun.

I love that you guys do this and I always think I should jump in on it, but...honestly I'm too damn disorganized. I do, however, plan on doing the annual Xmas mix for everybody to download this year! Think I'll go find that thread and bump it...
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!
