Help needed Stewart in Brazil 1989

Postby cillae on 12 Sep 2011 18:25

I just fell on this picture and I sent a message to the bass player in the picture but still have any answer. Any information will be welcome

Stewart was on tour with Animal Logic from june 89. So I presume this picture was taken between january and june , but for what event ?? It seems to be the kind of event where Stewart was having dinner and then invited to share the stage with the local band ....

You make a mistake.... Stewart was with Andy, Stanley Clarke and Dedorah Holland in 1989 with "RUSH HOUR" at Sao Paulo, Porto Allegre and Rio... Exist some graet pics published at "Outlandos FC" Newsletter 8)

Dietmar is right. 1987, (November, I think) I attended the show in Rio at the "Canecão". Curiously, it was a few days before Sting's biggest show ever at Maracanã Stadium, and rumors were flying in town about the possibility of Andy and Stewart showing up at the gig for a reunion jam which of course, never happened....

I agree with you all about 1987 , but the question was that the picture was dated from 1989 so as said Dietmar , either the date is wrong or this event will remain a mystery ....
I don't think Jeff was Stewart's drum technician during Animal Logic period but rather a guy named Jerry Johnson. So I'll try to get in touch with him if he knows soething about it and let you know.
By the way I 'm still desperatly seeking shows from the Rush Hour period so if anybody's got something I 'll be glad to have a copy.

Hi, Rush Hour on Projeto SP was recorded by the owner, his name is Arnaldo Waligora. Good luck!

Arnaldo Waligora showed on a local TV show some moments of the Rush Hour gig during his interview on a late night talk show.
Because it was actually the opening of the Projeto SP new space back them with the Rush Hour gig. And he seemed to love the whole thing during Stewart, Andy and Stanley stay in São Paulo as he was the party man while his brother Marcelo was the business man. He even showed a brief rehearsal moment which made me salivate for this footage.

Best wishes and good luck!
