Need ideas for tattoo

Need ideas for tattoo

Postby Spec A! on 06 Sep 2011 03:39

Hey everyone, figured I'd bounce this off my music friends here- looking at getting a tattoo, music/drumming related and I need some ideas! Not quite sure if I want it to be specific to STEWART or The Police... undecided! Any thoughts? Anyone have any they want to share pics of?

I know I know, it would be awesome, but not quite as universal as I'm wanting. I think I may have found something though:

Seriously considering having the Zildjian script done, or also possibly Avedis with it as well. It's unique enough, doesn't scream "drums", and has a personal connection for me (I remember marveling at the stamp on my very first Zildjian, the same ride I have played for the last 22 years). It's the front runner but the search continues!

get a full-size stewart face put on your own face.
that'd look nice.

I wonder if they could do a simplified version of your avatar ?

You behind the Police kit ?

That front skin always looked cool to me.

Cheers Spec.

That sounds like a lovely, subtle homage, Spec, with some wonderful backstory.

The one thing I would caution is to get the translation of the script verified somewhere. No offense to Zildjian, but there are whole websites devoted to failed tattoos with crap translations. Measure twice, cut once.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Dude, you have to do this one!

I'd do the K version if my arms weren't so skinny ;-)

Oh, I'd do the old "K Zildjian and Cie, Istanbul" script. I like the big K logo, but like you, I'd want it to be a bit mysterious.
