I'm so glad to hear that everyone fared more or less all right. Good luck with any clean up you still have to do. And best of luck to sockii as she prepares for her big weekend.

Not sure. I called him yesterday but was only able to leave a voicemail. I will try again today.

Just got this email from VTFan

I got your VM early this morning and meant to drop you a line. Anyway, we're fine. All we lost was power and it was for less than 24 hours, and we had a generator. Many of our friends in the village of Richmond weren't so lucky. I've seen some crazy things in the past few days.

Thanks EQ - and thanks everyone for the updates. Glad all are safe, if somewhat shaken and damp.

ETA: Heard this from a contact in Brattleboro, VT: "Many of our friends and neighbors have been hit hard. In the outlying areas, some folks have lost everything. Brattleboro’s couple of days of fame has stemmed more from the good video footage that has been carried on CNN and many other outlets than from the severity of the damage, when compared to some of the villages in Vermont....Given that the immediate needs are most important to those who’ve been hit so hard, your contribution would probably be best received by the American Red Cross." http://www.redcrossvtnhuv.org/index.asp ... 44W8UXGL8L

We lost power Sunday morning and got it back Monday afternoon. We had lots of leaves in the yard and some water in the basement, but not a big deal. I have family in CT that still do not have power, almost a week later. It's still the lead story on the news. I think it was/is way worse than initial reports let on.

I'm very pleased to hear that everyone seems to be ok.

I've been off line for a few weeks because of moving house and unable to post a good luck message so I could only watch it on the news and keep my fingers crossed for you all.
