I LOVE that interview.

I remember seeing it when it aired in January 1990, although my recollection is shaped also by waking up a few hours later violently ill (and soon hospitalized). I met my wife a few later, so it was a big month.

But the interview is worth remembering by itself.

I like Costas' interviews, far superior to the guy currently in his spot - Carson Daly. Seriously, of who does Daly have pictures in bed with farm animals. ZERO talent.

I remember interviewing Costas shortly after this interview, while I was in college. He said of Stewart, (paraphrasing) "He's one of those guys who you can tell just how smart he is after just a few minutes of talking to him."
