The drummers featured in Drum Solo Week II are:
Stewart Copeland, Tony Royster Jr., Gavin Harrison And Dennis Chambers

WOW!!! Three of my favorite drummers of all time (STEWART, Gavin and Dennis). This will RULE.

Funny how the press release does not even mention Gavin's main gig - drummer of Porcupine Tree.
Though I love Porcupine Tree, I hope Gavin plays this:

Here's a pic of me and Dennis Chambers taken in Vegas earlier this year:

Bonanza! What a nice surprise when I checked out my Nutters this morning! I saw three pages of posts and thought for sure this was an old thread.

Alas, my VCR will be getting a workout on the 24th. I am looking forward to first hand accounts as I know we are in good hands if Conroy is in!

Speaking of missing Nutters, where is Shangeris these days?? We need an MIA thread.

Killer. Now can the World's Most Dangerous Bar Mitzvah Band pull it off?

Have a great time, Con et al!

Glad you posted this here Jeff. Cant remember now but found it last night on some one of many music sites I check.

I cant attend [far away, short notice, etc] but I already posted the info on Twitter feed as well as Facebook to let the fans who dont necessarily check this site know Stewart is gonna be on T-V and drive up Letterman's ratings!

Is Stewart going to get to have a sit down & talk with Dave too? Would love to hear a story or 2.... or 3... sorry being greedy now.

Good Luck those trying to get tickets!
Will be looking for you in the audience Conroy! Enjoy. & Sockii too.

If this is like the other Drum Solo week, I would not expect an interview.

Wow! I go away to the cottage for a few days and come back to all this excitement! Thanks for the info, Jeff. I'll have to watch this one from the comfort of my livingroom this time. Is anyone besides Conroy going to be in the audience? I mean, any other Nutters, although the idea of Conroy all alone in the audience woo hooing away is pretty awesome.
Wooooooooooo!!!!!! Can't wait (already got the call and answered the trivia question for tickets). I was going to guess it was going to be a Gizmo piece since Paul plays piano and would play Vittorio Cosma's parts but I love that it is going to be a "Prey"!!!! I'd also recommend bringing something warm to wear because they keep it notoriously cold in the studio for Dave.
Brilliant! Glad you're in Conroy. Enjoy!

No call back yet, but I'm still planning on trekking up on Wednesday no matter what in hopes I can get a ticket. And to just hang out with some people I haven't seen in far too long, hopefully. I think Jimmy from TPT.com is going to try to make it as well.

No call, either, and unfortunately I don't think I can spare the time away from the studio unless I'm sure I can get in. Have fun Sockii & Conroy, and whoever else goes! Can't wait to hear all about it.

FWIW, if there ends up being time for lunch (I think Conroy said they told him to show up 2-3 for the taping, and the tickets are supposed to be released at 11am), one of my favorite cheap (for NYC) eats places in the city is about 2 blocks away from the Ed Sullivan Theater. Menchanko-tei, awesome ramen and other delicious Japanese eats you don't typically find on menus in these parts. http://www.menchankotei.com/

If you kids end up hanging out somewhere later in the day (not sure what time the taping ends), please shoot me a text where you've landed. I've got a day job w/ meetings to work around, but I'd love to say hello if the timing works out.

Thank you Jeff for posting the news; I came back today from the seaside of Italy, just to spend some time off having a couple of 'heavy years' on my shoulders...I couldn't easily log from where I was and couldn't post the news myself...so thanks again!!!
