Anyone aware of this .... Do you think these are the 2 demo versions available in the boot ' Ghost in the demo ' ...because the quality was very poor in the boot , these takes from A&M are the masters , if they really come from A&M
Any help would be welcomed ...Dietmar perhaps ?

I don't have any knowledge about all the test pressings.
If it's a genuine test pressing, then we'll find out about those 2 takes, as I bought the record.
If it's a fake with bad sounding demo versions made to look like a test pressing then at least we'll know ...

the seller told me that the sound was great on that record, I'm curious! Bought in London from a seller of promos / test pressings (Camden market).
I own an old record player, but I have to ask others for a transfer to CD.
Will find a way. First the record has to get here.

the general idea about the Secret Journey test pressing is that it's a fake, but let's wait until it's here and how it sounds...

Someone should contact Craig Betts on thepolicearchive.com regarding this. He has quite a few test pressings.

after a few more conversations with the seller it became clear that this record indeed is a fake with (probably) only the two Sting demos on it - with no better sound than we know

it took a while as we didn't exactly speak the same language (interprete as you will)

so I won't get that record, but I can now spend that money on some other Police stuff!
