Woke up in my clothes again this morning

Woke up in my clothes again this morning

Postby Wombat on 07 Aug 2011 03:09

Just saying.

I am laying in a strange bed at a tattoo festival I help to organise in Doncaster, UK called Tattoo Jam.
Have embibed more than a forty-one year old should and feel a million miles away from my wife and children, but have met an amazing tattoo artist called Jesse Smith. Nothing more to add apart from I am extremely drunk, typing this on my iPhone, and I will definitely wake up in the clothes that I am in now because I simply can not be bothered to address the situation.

I would like to add that getting drunk makes me nostalgic and I miss the craic (Irish spelling) of the AUI board (are you guys still around?) and the whole hubbub that accompanied it. You guys were funny.

Anyway, I hope Stewartland is still well populated and you are all still interested in this ephemeral bullshit, because I am and still proud. I love you all, but I am bound to say that because I am wasted.

Note to self. Pocket cup.

Mail me if you get that last line.

All the very best.

I generally advise against drunk posting, but this one's pretty good :-)

What an awesome tat! Hope you didn't drink before getting it, especially if you are a bleeder like me; ). A bunch of us AUIers are still around and reminisce about the good ol' days including the also much missed http://www.stewartcopeland.Co.UK site and the posts from "Stewart" .

Hey you AUIers!

Great to see you all

Missed your posts since dumping Facebook, Conroy, but I have jumped from frying pan and into the fire and am trying Google+. Have been following you too, Nicole on Twitter. Nice ranting. Oh, and Kim, I am assuming you are the Kim from the old board, too.

Anyhooo, must point out that I had planned the tattoo for sometime and wasn't drunk whilst it being done. Had left enough time for the booze to be out of my system before going under the needle. The artist is an award-winning tattooist from Sweden called Henrik Gallon. His work is amazing.

Not sure if any of you are familiar with the tattooing crowd, but the night in question was sat in a hotel foyer with Jesse Smith, Tanane Whitfield and Sweet Laraine. If any of you are interested in getting a tattoo, I could not recommended any of them highly enough. These guys are all stateside and charming, intelligent people.

Think I have mentioned this already, but I am aiming to get a full sleeve by Henrik with all my favourite artists. David Byrne is next, but probably not until January now as he is booked up until then.

Great to see you all involved still.

Best
