Links opening in new tab or window?

Links opening in new tab or window?

Postby jeffseitz on 14 Jun 2011 22:47

It would be great if links within the forum would open up in new tabs or windows, keeping the original site on hold! Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

Hi Jeff,

If you hold the Control key down while you click on the link, it'll open up a new tab for ya. Hope this helped.

Cheers,

Or if you are using a smart phone or tablet, you just hold your finger on the link until a window pops up and gives you the choice of opening the link in anew window or tab. You can also right click on the link if you use a two button mouse and it should give you a choice to open it in a new wiindow or tab.

If none of the above suggestions work, I usually stamp my feet and yell at the monitor.
Doesn't work, but makes me feel a whooole lot better.

Who knew there were even such options? I guess I would have just gone on doing it the hard way the rest of my time... Now if I can remember all this next time I have to click on the dreaded link...

I always right-click the link and choose "open in new tab".
