Hi again all,

Just checked the BBC website regarding the Police in the East programme. Silly me got my dates wrong thinking it was tonight. However it will be broadcast on BBC4 on the following dates:

Fri 3 Jun 2011 22:00
Sat 4 Jun 2011 02:25
Mon 6 Jun 2011 00:40

Therefore if I mess up next Friday at least I have two more shots at it!!!!

Will also check if it appears on the BBC iPlayer section of the website after next Friday's broadcast. Will keep everyone posted.

Regards
On behalf of all us UK folk who have no bloomin' clue how to record this stuff (Iain being pretty much the only other tech-savvy Brit), thank you sir, you're a gem!

If you do manage to capture it for posterity be assured there are lots of us who will help get it to corners of the earth that BBC4 doesn't reach, by snail mail.

I have two versions on DVD :
- my own VHS/DVD transfert of a french broadcast in 1981 (not complete with french subtitles) received from a late 80's trade; by the way, I remember when they broadcasted it on TV when I was just a kid!
- the complete version received a few years ago. I was then surprised to discover the footages cut in the french version, as I thought this one was complete!

It's a very good complement of ATW because, as Dietmar said, of the different live songs, and also separate interviews of Sting, Stewart and Andy.

"Driven To Tears" version played in Athena and "Bring On The Night" in Hong Kong are my favourite !

well, that was VERY good.

there are enough bits which aren't from Around The World to make it an enjoyable new experience.......

and i'm clutching a warm memory stick which, when i've worked out what to do with it, should enable some sharing to go on.......

Oh, and for Uk-ites gordo is on ITV3 at 00.30 ruining the very same songs with strings and things from Berlin on his current ever-continuing Symphonishitty tour....

Hi Smax! <waves back>

Now, I also taped this thing, but my dvd is broken and I am not able to copy recordings on the harddisk to a dvd-disk. So I guess this is probably the time to contact the seller and ask if there is a solution for this.

Jose,

My recorder did not work properly, however I have found a solution!!!! My next door neighbour has Vigin Media + and I have just popped around to ask him to record the re-run scheduled for tomorrow morning. This he has done and it will be recorded in full HD (his words not mine). All I then need to do is borrow a DVDR player and record the programme off of his system. So great news as I want a copy myself for prosperity. Hopefully I will get this done in the next couple of days and can then begin burning any copies people would like.

If you can give me your address Jose, as soon as I have it all sorted I can post to you and I know the local postmaster really well, so rest assured it will arrive at some point very soon.

If anyone else would like a DVD copy then please give me a shout.

Regards,

Iain

P.s. to Jose,

Follow this internet link

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... _the_East/

and it says the programme will be streamed shortly off of their website. That way can can get a preview before the actual disc arrives.
