Safe from the Sun "Nutters for Life" Team Reactivated

Postby copeland_girl5 on 15 Mar 2011 21:17

Hi Everyone,

First of all, thanks to Sockii for jumpstarting this in her earlier thread.

Anyway, the other day I had our team "Nutters for Life" reactivated for the Safe from the Sun Walk/5K run to benefit the Melanoma International Foundation on Saturday, April 30th in Villanova, PA. Below is a link that will take you where you need to go to either donate to our team (be sure to give us credit) or better yet, if you have the time, sign up and join us. Also, their website seems much easier to navigate than previous years.

http://www.melanomaintl.org/

Most of you know my melanoma story and I really appreciate the friendship, love and support you have given and continue to give me. I'm so very grateful and blessed.

I'm in.

For the 5k run, no less, this time.

Thanks for getting things started again! Only bug I'm running in to is getting the actual Team page to load properly...when I go to the link page below and click on Nutters for Life, it basically takes me nowhere instead of to a URL I can use to pimp my friends to donate.

Yay team! Thanks CG_5 for getting this going again. And thanks to sockii for the initial jumpstart and joining the team. I've donated and will be rooting y'all on from afar that weekend. (I still have my Nutters for Life team T-shirt that Dive designed a couple of years ago. I wore it to school a few weeks back for our "Wear a Team Jersey" theme day. Not being much of a sports fan, it's the only "team" jersey I own.)

"Bump"

Thanks for all the donations everyone!

Also as a note... today I had a check up with my melanoma specialist at UOP Pigmented Lesion Clinic (they're the best) in Philadelphia and all looks fine...another year melanoma-free. Life is Good!

Hey folks, I just chipped in and had some luck with this URL:

https://www.z2systems.com/np/clients/mi ... ampaign=25

In that I was able to get to the pull down menu at the bottom that listed Nutters for Life, so hopefully y'all will get credited for the donation.

(Seems like last year you didn't get the pull down menu if you DID log in, you could only find it if you did not. Which makes no sense, but I'm sure this is a nonprofit that doesn't have money to spend on fancy web design.)

Good luck, all! Thanks so much for doing this again, what a great cause. And my hat is definitely off for those of you who can run a 5K...
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Bummer, April 30 is not good for me. I thought they usually did these on a Sunday. Oh well.

I just donated for Nutters for Life. I'll miss you guys. Everyone should wear green.
