Stewart / The Police ads

Postby Dietmar on 18 Apr 2011 11:06

I started to scan magazine ads by The Police / Sting / Andy / Stewart
not ads that were used to promote their records or concerts, but commercial ads for products like Ibanez, Roland, TAMA or Paiste where The Police's name or image (or an individual's) were used

there will be several pages on the wiki (one for the Police and one for each individual)

here are some Stewart ads from 2007 and 2008

Dietmar...how cool is that?
This is too much, I always dreamed of someone like you....ahaha, don't get me wrong, you are not my kind of type (ahaha, sorry!), but I would pay $$$,$$ for a book with all the wiki stuff you are uploading (pins, memorabilia, informations day by day, now these ads....). This could be one of the best book ever and one of the most treasured item I would collect!
Thanks.

Dietmar, you're insane. And when I say that I mean it in the highest complimentary terms that you can translate into German. Wow, just wow. You're not making many Police fans, you're taking interested fans and turning them into maniacs. Me included

Dietmar, you should really consider publishing or at least collaborating on a book of Police memorabilia. It might be difficult getting copyrights for everything, but I'm sure with interested parties involved (hello, Stewart? ) you could get it done.

I've said the same thing to Dietmar a number of times.. a book would be worth its weight in gold but its true the biggest problem is copyright..unfortunately.

A book - or even a blog like you did with Synchronology - of precise day by day timelines of The Police would be cool !
I know, there is PoliceWiki for this, but it would be better to have the chronology of facts on full pages.
