Vote for the Police in ESPN's Rock March Madness

Vote for the Police in ESPN's Rock March Madness

Postby TheEqualizer on 14 Mar 2011 23:11

This year, ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd is running a Rock and Roll March Madness bracket similar to the college basketball March Madness. Last year, he did a bracket involving breakfast cereals (WTF?).

Here is the bracket:

The Police are a 4 seed in the Seattle bracket, strangely. They beat Oasis in the first round, but face Queen in the next round. If they survive the round with Queen, they go against the winner between the Stones and Motley Crue.

Put in your votes!

Police have already been bumped out :(

Now my only objective is making sure U2 gets taken down and out! Last I checked they were losing to Aerosmith :D

Shit. No shame with getting knocked out by Queen, though.

Aerosmith ended up defeating U2.

The teams making the elite 8 (in no particular order):

Stones, Zepplin, Aerosmith, Beatles, GNR, Floyd, Eagles, AC/DC

There's gotta be some hardcore Aerosmith fans in on the vote as I see they are currently ahead of Pink Floyd in the next round. AUGH THIS CANNOT BE. SOMEONE IS WRONG ON THE INTERNET.

And it has come down to The Beatles vs. Lep (no surprise)

(The Stone fell to Zep in the Final Four match-up).

I'm voting Beatles.

I went for Led Zep, but I'm sure the Beatles will win.

There's a big radio station doing a similar MM competition where it's come down to Beatles/Floyd for the final match (Floyd took down Zeppelin in their semi-finals).

Interesting that the top bands were so very close in both, I will say (and it's Beatles for me at this point for ESPN...)
