NUTTERS:
You got it done! Booyah! Can't wait to listen to *cough*.
Glad you all did it in nutter style and (finally) got to hear the boom, dang dang.
And I'm glad you all made it on various beverage excursions safe and sound.

Woot!

Note to self: check the Stewart board more often. Especially gig week. I can't tell of what I'm more envious for missing: the hijinks or the gig.

Dan, I will be very curious to learn what your muscially trained ears hear on this. I remember you had a thorough analysis after Savannah.

I love this new work and think it is as good as anything he has written but you may have a different view.

I got an email survey from hotels.com entitled "Tell us about your recent stay at Knight's Inn Dallas".

Where do I begin?

The ones I took with my phone are blurry. Sorry. Blackberry Torch is great except for the camera.[/quote]
Thank you hugely for the pics, Luna. It's been a crazybusy couple weeks, and haven't gotten chance to listen to conroys 'sneaky' recording-am hoping to have chance this Sat. on boyfriend's computer.....
What time, and enjoyed the reviews. Maybe the same folks who arranged for Ben Verdery to give a concert here at Memorial Hall in Cincinnati could see a way to have D'Drum play this piece here too.
Really loved getting to put faces w/ names!

Did any Nutter other than Luna Virgo take pictures? Would love to see others from the exciting and odd weekend of snow-bound Nutterdom in Dallas.

I was hoping for Super 8. And with a soundtrack by... (or if Stewart is not available, Conroy could cut "cough" and paste).

The Nutter adventures on this trip were sure a sideshow for us stuck on the mainland! Thanks again for the frequent updates!

I have it on good authority that there was a four camera shoot and multitrack recording made of the concert! Without Conroy's foot tapping.

Here's hoping the same good authority who just brought us this information is also the person producing/mastering it! Well met, sir. :D

Glad to hear that, Jeff. And I'll be really glad to hear that, Jeff. When I saw them outside the concert hall, I kind of figured it wasn't conroy who put up the signs that said "Tonight's performance will be recorded".

In terms of photos, I brought a camera, but no memory card, so I wanted to be frugal with the measly 30 shots I could take. As a result, the camera never made it out of its case. I didn't even get any pictures during the meet and greet. Things went so fast and I guess I was a little star struck. However, Luna's shots are a perfect depiction of our trip, especially the ultra exciting photo of me sitting on the bed marking papers in the Knight's Inn.
Amy had her camera in action. I'm sure she has some great shots, especially her post-tequilla shots shots. I wonder if she got any pictures from the Art Cart, or as she was calling it, the Shtew-Art Cart. (Yes, there's still a few tales to tell.)

As an aside, my brother is in Dallas this week for a conference. The temperature has been in the high 60'sF (low 20's C) under sunny skies all week.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

From where I was sitting, I saw one of those cameras on the stage right balcony. Can't wait to see the drums in action from a birds-eye view.

Now those should be entertaining!

I'm really glad you all like the pics, but I wish I'd taken a lot more, especially during the show. I just didn't want to annoy the people around me, and I certainly didn't want to get booted from the only performance. I probably could have gotten some during the curtain calls, but I wasn't even thinking about it then - too busy applauding!

And like LL said, I was too star-struck to get more pics during the meet & greet. I wish I could download all the images in my head!

That is awesome. I hope it is released in a DVD/CD combo like Orchestralli and La Notte Della Taranta.
