today, 07/03/05 : will I go or not? hum. I hate the Stade de France, I hate 80.000 persones, I hate to pay to much. I say :

YES : 30 %
NO : 70 %

PhilippeC, we will watch in on DVD (it would be 2 second DVD I buy after the french movie 'Camping', in my life... yes sorry I am not the standard american consumer) An we will go to a cool show, when they play in smaler places. Even if you have to travell out of your 'Provence'. I this case i will drive you.
But, honnestly, you really waited 23 years to go to the stade de France ? 8000-10000 is a maximum for me.

Anyone to make me change my minde ?

Philip if you let the fact that there is 80.000 people around you while you celebrate the biggest band in the world keep you away from going you are a) a complete nutcase and b) you are not a Police fan!!!

If that doesn't change your mind, well you are not a Police fan and God knows you didn't wait 24 (by the way) years to see them ...
The ticketprice for Germany is said to be 50 to 100 € if that is too much ... you are not a Police fan!

Don't worry Philip !
Some other dates will be added in the european tour, like the one in Mannheim, Germany on oct. 10.
For sure The Police will play Milano... or Roma.

For the date in Stade de France, it's the only way to give the opportunity to a lot of people to see The Police.
It's now not possible for them to play more intimate venues, except playing in them during 10 days !!

Philip, I understand - I'm really spoiled, because I live in a city where great bands play our 5000 seat theater all the time.

There are only two bands that will get me to pay arena prices and go to an arena. Actually, much as I hate the thought, I'm actually now in kind of a good mood - think how much fun it will be to be down on the field with people as excited as you are to see The Police! It'll be like a party with 80,000 of your nearest friends!

You could also wait a while and see if tickets are less expensive on Ebay....that may happen with more tickets available. Good luck!

Mannheim? Are you sure? This would be amazing for me!
Very good accessible via train btw because Mannheim HBF (=main station) is the largest rail traffic junction in the southwest of Germany.

Philip, I've heard rumours that they could play in Nice or Marseille... I don't know if it's true. But there are empty dates between the show in Paris (09/29) and the one in Dusseldorf (10/13), maybe they'll fill them with some shows in France or Italy?
I'm astonished there's only one date in Paris, after all the cities they played in France in the previous tours. I'm pretty sure more dates will be added. The problem is: when will it be announced?
