Glad you like the new song, that makes two ...three including me. (LOL) The silence is deafening. Hey, thats the life of a lowly basement songwriter. I listen to my own tunes a lot, heh, heh, I dig all 4 on itunes.

The voting is still going until mid or end of Feb, sketchy details. Everyone who can is voting but I am currently in 9th of 10. Who knows. They are going to "pick" from the 10 so I am pretty sure it wouldn't be me. I just wanted to get a good finish for all the good folks who sign in everyday and vote for me. I guess it would feel like some kind of accomplishment. Truly, I would much rather write an undeniable good song that gets on a radio station on merit. Winning contests is really not the way. I would hate to be on American Idol. Actually the vibe my Flag song had is all I am really looking for, everyone truly seemed to like it and I could see it on Myspace, tons of hits. Awesome feeling. Too bad it was on Stewart's rep, Thanks Stew !

Anyway, I'm runnin on here.

"Dum Dumb Dub" is coming up on Canadian itunes in a day or so, shouldn't be too long for Amazon UK type sites.

Back to working on more "stripped down songs", kinda guitar n vocals. Like it would be if I played by myself live. Funny how a drummer (originally) on a Copeland site is going acoustic. My limited studio (laptop) doesn't allow reall nice Pro sounding drums so I guess it time to write some solid stuff. Some might have drums, if the song demands it, we'll see, I go with the vibe at the time.

Thanks for caring Moonstone, means a lot.

More to come.

Dum Dumb Dub - the music is solid as always, but DANG sir you've got a really great lyric going on there. This is an extremely presumptuous suggestion, but would you consider condensing it a bit? I only suggest it because that lyric shouldn't give the listener any time off to groove without thinking about what you're saying.

Just to pick one line, "Your friends are singing it in a club" made me think of all the powerful songs I've ever loved that have been reduced to supermarket musak or mindless, drunken night out singalongs. AWESOME words sir. Thank you.

Thanks for the comment.

Do you mean the verses are too much ?
It was a one of those came all at once and I just recorded it as is. That's pretty well the first I sang (such as it is) the song. I just let it go. I thought there might be too much of it?, the Dumb dumb part. OH wait you mean take out the million guitar solo's n harmonica solo n have more chorus's right. I get it now. Fair point. I ain't Jack White.

Interesting how you hear it, cool.

I'm getting a new recording rig so if any of this stuff people actually like I may re-record some of the stronger tunes. I am going to try to really improve. It does sound good to me blasting in my car I have to admit.

I just thought it was kinda funny. Totally pictured people downin pints singin it.
Thanks a lot, appreciate it. Good critique.
