Send some of that down this way so I can get a day off work. Everything grinds to a halt here if we get half an inch.

Cincinnati has been having the same weather patterns this whole year as in the very first year I had moved here from Virginia (1988). So, we have had a really nice amount of snow-2 different 2 to 4 in falls-alternating w/ temps in the 20's to 30's daytime. Sunny today, beautiful snow on all but roads & walks, great for a roadtrip w/ Brian to our favorite 2nd hand bookseller, in Burlington KY, for one last gift! And that first year here, there was no more snow after the beginning of Jan. '89, so am enjoying while I can!
All you British and European Nutters, please be safe on the roads. Take some extra water and a blanket in the car, and maybe a thermos of sweet hot tea w/ ginger-just the ticket if caught in ice traffic for a while-this is what I have w/ me heading home through the Appalachians in winter/early spring, has come in handy too. Oh, and tire chains, I swear by those, fabulous on snowy hills....

in the UK people seemed a lot more willing to try and go chrimbo shopping than they were getting to work....

we had, maybe, 10 cms fall in two hours on saturday... during the daytime it's hovering just under freezing.

Over the weekend Rain
Today Rain
Tomorrow Rain
Wednesday Rain

Lots of rain for Southern California more than we usually get this time of year.

Weather outside is more like February.

I live at the bottom of a big hill so I've been using the snow as a great excuse NOT to go chrimbo shopping - I loathe shopping!

The downside is not getting any post or deliveries as the vans get down the hill far quicker than they intended and then can't get back up again, and the neighbours waterpipes bursting and taking out my supply for the third year running.

It's stopped snowing but damn it's cold out. My assets are frozen and my miniture daschund Bert stood still for too long on Saturday and stuck to the ground. I had to defrost him in the kitchen sink.

Same for Vegas. Less rain that So Cal, but we also usually get much less than So Cal does

Surviving, thanks ltwoman.
Just water everywhere here, we are soaked.
Raining off and on now, today is suppose to be the last day. Woo hoo!

I have lived in Southern California all my life, 40 + years and I have never seen rain like this in December, no wonder we have record rainfall for the month.
And very rarely have I seen it were it rains here for more than 5 days in a row, we are not Seattle!!!

Glad I was off my crutches, wearing normal shoes and walking again when this rain hit!
