It's kinda gray outside, and according to the weather report it should be sunny.

The ash has now arrived to Rome, so I'm completely under it, but it looks just like a normal cloud.

Shangeris, great first hand report! This is so surreal. It's like being cast in someone's bad idea for a disaster flick. What will we be saying about this in a week? a year? Stay well!

Thank you very much! It's not so bad after all: the ash has travelled so much that it's mixed with the normal clouds, so it won't harm to the population and the airports are beginning to open. It also seems that the ash is going away, at least from Italy. It's impossible to say how long the eruption will take or if there will be other eruptions, but I think (and hope) it will stop soon.

It's been beautiful sunny weather on the Isle of Wight and no sign of any ash, just slight hayfever type symptoms in some people but that could be pollen. I suppose the real stuff is going on much higher up. Natures way of reminding us that actually us humans don't rule the world

I just heard about this tornado in Bridgeport, Connecticut and related concerns across the northeast yesterday. Is everybody okay up there?

Just about freezing point here and thick thick fog.

I don't mind. I love laying in bed at night and hearing the fog horns going off out at sea.

All our snow has melted but we're expecting more by the end of the week.

We got two inches of snow in Nashville, TN last night! It's very strange - usually if we get snow at all it's not till Jan/Feb. I hear Nutters Indygirl & Kiki, who are north of me, didn't get it too badly...but wondering about lkk...

well moved from Victoria B.C Canada were there is barely ever any snow to Montreal were there is snow more snow and more fucking snow!!!!!
