Rookie says hello

Rookie says hello

Postby Alexandra on 28 Nov 2010 21:12

Hello - finally...
I made it into the forum. I tried to register in August but it didn't work. I kept visiting you and found out, it wasn't only my problem. And then there were new members appearing and I tried again and it worked! I'm so happy about it.

In August I've been watching the "Certifiable" Concert DVD. And although I knew a few songs (the ususal suspects I guess) and the bands name, I thought, (and I hope your are not kicking me out of the forum right away) this would mean Sting and somebody. Please excuse my ignorance, because then I was taught a lesson.

Seeing Stewart perform with so much passion, abandon and fun was absolutely inspiring and impressively. That's how work (and life of course) should always be done (and lived). I've almost lost it in all the routine.
Thank you for reminding me!

After that, I started to read "Strange Things Happen" and I really enjoy its humor and the lively way Stewart is telling the stories. I try not read it all at once, but to save chapters, so I have something funny to read the next day.

Thank you for letting me introduce myself to you. I'm looking forward to read (and write) more in the future.

Good Night Everybody, read you soon.

Alex

Uh ... and if anything may sound curious to you, I might have picked the wrong word out of my dictionary, sorry for that.

Welcome, Alexandra. I couldn't agree with you more about how Stewart performs with such passion and sense of fun. It simply can't go unnoticed.
And don't worry about your English. It sounds fine to me.

I am new too! They are very nice here and rarely bite! I agree with you, Sting may be the leader but Stewart drives the bus! I think this is evident by Sting's music without Stewart and Andy. It is good...but it lacks a certain something that only Stewart and Andy can bring.

Have you seen "Does Everyone Stare?" Its a great DVD about the band from Stewart's point of view.
Stay ready...to cut and run.
