that's awesome Hannah! Can't beat the commute, huh? Don't worry about the tickets, you will definitely get them, if you start as soon as they go on sale. Just have your TM account set up and ready to go and keep refreshing the screen until it comes up. I have bot tix for 7 shows and have had NO problems getting arena tix in general sale. I had trouble with Madison Square Garden genl sale, but that is a much smaller venue, relatively, and I was still able to go in after it was supposedly sold out and pick up single seats. If you have presale codes from the fanclub, I really believe you will be golden. Also, keep trying, even if it says sold out, b/c peoples' credit cards get denied, or people throw seats back, looking for something better.
Good luck to you and to all others who will be seeing the European leg of the tour!!!!!!!!!!

Presale for German dates supposed to start on March 16th - I'd say there are no problems to get tickets - there is about 150.000 for the whole of Germany that should be plenty.

Boy I go nutz ... !

So what about France then ?
One date in Paris in a stadium which can accommodate up to 80.000 people...
Germans are luckier with 3 shows !
Maybe there will be additional dates ...

Salut Olivier,

Yes, same reaction: only one date in France? I still don't know if I buy ticks for Barcelona or Paris... or if I wait for a possible date in Nimes or somewhere else in the south? And if I wait too long, it's possible I can't get no ticket at all! What a dilemma!

Concerning Barcelona, can anyone tell me about how many people can attend there? Is the stadium as big as "Le Stade de France" (up to 80,000 people) or less?
Well, if it's the same, I should change my glasses first if I hope to see the Boys! This concert will really cost a lot... ;)

I think I'm gonna wait the pre-sale for Paris, this is my priority !
I'm gonna ask two or three friends to open an account on ticketmaster, as I won't be able to get tix for all my friends interested to see The Police live.

I must ask Madame first. Does she prefer staying some days in Barcelona with the sun of Spain or spending some days in a possible rainy Paris?

As I said in this topic, the date in Paris will coincide with my 37th birthday, and I want to make this day memorable !

If I get tickets I'll be able to do the 10 minute journey on foot (I'm picturing it in evening summer sunshine) and if the worst comes to the worst I can sit in my back garden with a cup of tea and listen to the sound of the boys on the wind!

I've been lucky enough to eavesdrop on U2, Idlewild and The Rolling Stones that way since I moved to Twickenham.

Mannheim is only 150 km from Strasbourg, 180 from Metz, 500 from Paris, 400 from Bruxelles ... I guess they gave us more dates so the bordering countries can travel ... I expect quiet a few Americans and Brits over as well ... !
With the cheap flights via Ryanair it might be easier for a guy from North Scotland to hop over to Hamburg then to drive to London or Birmingham ... !
I'd love to see them in Paris actually - only 400 km for me.

Hey folks, they may add some 2nd dates in some cities. Be aware though - both times they've done that in the U.S. there was no prior notice and tickets went on sale immediately. So you're out of luck if you happen to not be online. You should probably stay online as long as you can on sale day for any venue you want to see, just in case.

They have also added dates here in the U.S. (although they've also changed some without notice...they moved the Columbus, Ohio date to Cleveland, and my understanding is that some Columbus fans are just now figuring out they've missed the onsale date for the Cleveland show...So be sure to double check if a date shows up in a city somewhat near another date. The first date may have been cancelled.)
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Hi HANNA

Is twickenham easy to get too from north london?

I am trying to decide wether to goto birmingham or twickenham. And right now Birmingham actually looks easier! (timewise!)

Twickenham is a bit tricky from north london, but certainly not impossible - you get the tube down to Waterloo and then a fast overland train to twickenham which takes about 20-25 mins and it's a 10 minute walk from the station. It'd probably take an hour and a half all in.
